Free Carers Voices Training

Carers Scotland is providing free ‘Carers Voices’ training to carers who are looking after someone with a mental health condition and to carers from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities. The sessions will equip you with:  
  • Improved knowledge of local NHS and social services
  • More effective communication skills
  • Assertiveness skills when dealing with local services
  • Getting your views heard about your caring role
The training will be split into two half-days and will take place at the following times and places: Mental Health Carers Tuesday 21st February 11.00am – 2.00pm & Wednesday 29th February 11.00am – 2.00pm, Festival Business Centre, Brand Street, Govan BME Carers Tuesday 13th March 11.00am – 2.00pm & Tuesday 20th March 11.00am – 2.00pm Destiny Church, 1120 Pollokshaws Road, Shawlands Glasgow, G41 3QP   Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Help may be available for respite and transport costs. To book a place call Carers Scotland on 0141 445 3070 or email rena.friel@carerscotland.org
