Self-Directed Support: “The Road to Discovery"

Summary: This morning Conference has been planned to inform both disabled people and agencies about Self Directed Support in Glasgow. Delegates will hear from an innovative research project, from an academic who will draw on research and evidence, from Glasgow officials about SDS in Glasgow and from Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living which supports disabled people using SDS. The event will also celebrate an award from the Scottish Government for the project ‘Pathways for Change: SDS Road Testers’ which will enhance the Big Lottery funded “Pathways for Change” project. An Open Floor session & round table discussions will encourage participants to share views, exchange ideas and explore what else we need to know about SDS and how to make it work in Glasgow.
